Spalted hardwoods are gorgeous and spalting is caused by stress on certain hardwoods, such as maple, sycamore, persimmon, hackberry, and elm when the tree undergoes stress, due to the environment, cold weather, or a fungus that effected the tree. This stress causes a gorgeous mix of espresso, gray, black, and brown streaks throughout the wood, which is like natures own paint brush. All wooden table tops are 100% custom and range from 36-38" wide and are 1-1.2" thick. Table tops consist of 2-3 smaller slabs book-matched together to make an amazing display of wood grains with their unique espresso/mocha streaks going vertically across the table. ALL wood is kiln dried and treated with a satin clear coat. Sanded smooth and all holes, cracks, and knots are filled unless requested otherwise!
